Every year in July, Montemaggiore is host to the Montegrosso Festival of the Olive (Fiera de l’Alivu).
Local Corsican producers of olive oil, Corsican wines and cold meats are more than willing to chat about and let you taste their products.
If ever you arrive on an empty stomach, there’s a skewed veal waiting to be dealt with. Art lovers will find an exposition of the original paintings and sketches from the local artist, M. Dabrin at a more than reasonable price (60 Euros each).
The Festival of Montegrosso was also the occasion for the intronisation of a new member of the Order of the Oléa.
